The Orchard has charitable status and relies on donations and the money we raise. The CCO Committee has a duty to ensure that it thrives so that it can be enjoyed by the community. This means nurturing damaged trees, replacing dead trees, buying tree stakes, cages, watering equipment, tree nutrients, mowing equipment & processing the fruits.
Whilst the income from product sales is very helpful, the maintenance of the Orchard cannot be guaranteed in future years. We would like you to consider becoming a Friend of Chorleywood Community Orchard with a suggested minimum donation of £20 per annum.
As a Friend of Chorleywood Community Orchard, you will be informed of our fun events: Apple Day, Blossom Day, Wassailing and other community events where Friends of Chorleywood Common or The Cider Club (which is part of CCO) sell the Orchard’s products. You will also be invited to our regular Orchard working parties, although your attendance is not obligatory.
