This year we hoped to hold our AGM on the Orchard itself but again the weather just wasn’t suitable so, with a little trepidation, we decided to move the event to the Cider Barn at Hall Farm.
Who knew AGMs could be so much fun! We had a good turnout from supporters and a few new members came to see what was going on, including some very vocal and nosy cattle with ring side seats at the back of the barn.
Unfortunately our illustrious leader, Nikki Varnals, wasn’t available for the event but John Burton, our Vice Chair, took control and delivered a splendid Chairmans report followed swiftly by Dave Stunell’s excellent report covering our finances.
After some formal voting, and the election of committee members was completed, the social began and carried on until well after dark.
Of course our delicious Old Hoody cider and apple juice and some lovely cheeses and nibbles were available to oil the wheels .
